2010 Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP)

 

Job opportunities under the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP)  Program offers temporary, flexible employment to students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment as degree seeking students taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited high school, technical, vocational, 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school.

 

Employment can range from a summer job to a position that can last for as long as you are a student. These employment opportunities need not necessarily be related to your academic field of study.

 

You are eligible for Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) if you are:

You are not eligible to receive Health or Life Insurance or to contribute to the Federal Government Retirement System as a Student Hire.  (***If you remain employed for one year of current continuous employment, excluding any break in service of 5 days or less you will be eligible for Health coverage, however you must pay both the employee and the Government shares of the premium***).

 

To receive consideration for the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) for 2010 you are required to send your RESUME AND UNOFFICIAL Transcripts OR if you are a high school student you are required to submit proof of enrollment in the form of a letter from your school OR a current class schedule by email to:

Last Name, First Name – Student Employment 2010

RESUMES WILL BE KEPT ON FILE UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2010 AT WHICH POINT THEY WILL BE DELETED.
