Dear Community Leader,

As president of the League of United Latin American Citizens ( LULAC ), Council 10, I am reaching out to the Quad-City business community in an effort to generate local support to help us realize our mission goals.

The LULAC goals are to advance the ecomonic conditions, educational opportunities, and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs and collaborations.
Davenport LULAC Council 10, was chartered in 1959, and is one of the oldest councils in the United States.

Since 1978, the council has awarded over $585,000 to 976 Quad City area students to support their pursuit of higher education. But the scholorship program is not the only initiative we undertake as an organization.

Today, in response to rising dropout rates amont Latino high school students, Council 10 is expanding its outreach with new mentoring and literacy programs. We are serving our numerous partnership organizations to address education and economic challenges our community faces, and we are making a positive impact.

Our facility in Davenport serves as a community gathering space for people of diverse backgrounds. Our organization serves as a bridge to connecting the Latino community to many opportunities and resources within our community including health care, employment, higher education, and civic/governmental progects.

We believe our organization can make a positive impact on our community and help make our community a great place to live, work and raise a family.

For our organization to meet the high demands for leadership and services, LULAC needs the support of the Quad City business community. We hope that your organization will join us by becoming a corporate member of our council.
